Raw Footage

Our group stored all the raw footage in the same Google Drive and divided it into different sections. There are 7 - 8 small sections that are divided into specific scenes as this will help us to easily find the needed footage.

We used IMOVIE to create the first rough cut because compared to Adobe Premiere Pro, IMOVIE is much straightforward and easy to use. This will make our production faster as we’re already used with IMOVIE. Besides that, IMOVIE is also the basic editing app that can be utilized in any occasion.

Rough Cuts

This is the combination of all the raw footage, which can be seen as the very first draft of Styx’s production. This version doesn’t include anything except for the original footage.

Compared to the final product of Styx, we can see that lots of adjustments and changes had taken place in terms of color, sound, effect and visuals. This shows that this type of psychological thriller movie is based the most in the editing stage as it would determine whether that film can bring the required atmosphere to the audience or not. Overall, we can acknowledge the importance of post-production, especially editing besides capturing valuable footage.
