This is the AS Media Studies blog that help a graduated student in my school to get an A* in her final grade after two years of A-level. Her blog includes every step, practice, research… that involves in her process of making the final opening scene of a film. She divided the process into six different sections: About me, Pre production, Production, Post Production, CCR and Final product. Each of the sections have lots of small branches that help the examiners to take an insight into her coursework.

Khanh Linh's opening page already implied to us that her film will be fill with happiness which may related to the genre of comedy
Instead of just introduce herself and the fun fact, she also introduce the team who contribute in the production of the short opening sequence
Regarding the genre of her film, she chose Drama-Comedy as the primary genre that runs along the short film. She helped us to have a deep understanding of this genre and the reason why she chose it which makes me feel that this is a determined, thoughtful decision she had made by herself. This student even took a look and analyzed three different films of the same genre in order for the experience to be more diverse. In each film, she chose 3 intriguing or special shots to have a deep study about it based on her knowledge and terminology about film.
Throughout the blog, she used the same word font and a vivid, diverse range of color tone. We can see that posters are one of the most common ways for her to present the works into the blog. Putting information into a poster with lots of color and design helps the piece to look more creative. In the research section, she was able to show the examiners that she had done deep, detailed research to prepare for the production of her opening sequence.
With people who did film, in research section, we have to analyse the first 9 opening frame of three different movies in order to have a wider view of film industry in general and the production of opening sequence in particular. In each frame, she analyse it in a very detailed way that comprised of the connotation, denotation and colour scheme within that frame
In each analysis, she includes a brief synopsis of the film in order for the audience to have an insight into the main plot and can partly understand the expression of the characters in the movie. Throughout the blog, I can see that she always put lots of efforts into even a small single thing as this is the reason why she got an absolutely high grades after all
MAGAZINE BLOG EXAMPLE
Differ to the previous one, this is a Media Studies blog of a global student who did a magazine for her two years of A-level and she got an A in her final grade. Compared to the one of Duong Khanh Linh, Samo follows a completely different style - a more minimalistic design with the main color tone of green and white.

Throughout the blog, Samo just followed a certain range of colour: black, white, light green and yellow which shows us a sense of uniformity as everything go through the same rules

As we can see, in each of her front cover research, she put a certain amount of effort onto the work as we can proved it based on the level of detail of her analysis. She talked about the connotation as well as denotation of each image exist
In here, Samo had discovered a very creative design format on Wix to compare the difference between the original and edited image
Like diary, she records everything she had done to see the progress of the coursework. This also help her to memorise each step that she had done which can prevent any unfortunate situation to happen
This is the opening page of Samo where she introduced herself to the examiners and talk about the reason why she decided to follow Media Studies
Likewise film people, Samo - a magazine people also have to do research about magazine and specifically they have to analyse the front cover of three different magazine as it would give them a wiser point of view for the magazine production
Preliminary task records any beside practice that the student did within the coursework and with Samo, she add the photograph of model that she took in the production of the magazine
