AS - Foundation Portfolio
LOCATION RECCE
Previously, we wanted to borrow an actual hospital office from someone that we know rather than renting a studio. However, since doctors are always busy, it’s really hard for us to borrow an office for around 2 to 3 hours for filming production. Therefore, we decided to use an office of Nguyet Nhi’s dad to make it as a doctor office as it’s quite easy for us to borrow and her dad’s office is also really close to our school so it’s convenient to transport
Hospital office
Nhi’s grandmother's house is the location that we chose to film for the first scene of our opening scene where little Max will observe domestic violence within his family. The house is located near to our school - BVIS so it’s quite convenient for us to come and film. Besides that it’s Nhi’s grandmother's house so it’s 100% usable as her grandmother is very friendly.
The reason why we chose this place is due to its small size and the way it looks really old and dilapidated, which can raise a sense of empathy to our main character’s Max. Besides that, the way the house looks also helps us to show the destitute circumstances of Max and the harshness occurring within his life.
Living room
Classroom
As we are still a highschool student, rather than renting a studio, we can borrow a classroom from our school to film the classroom scene as it would be very realistic. By borrowing the facility, we don’t need to pay any fees which can lower our production cost. Besides that, we can take the classroom most of the time so it’s very proactive for us to film anything.
However, since the classroom’s light is kind of bright, we may have to focus more on the color tone to make the atmosphere more sophisticated
